PICATINNY RAIL CUTTERS

After making a few slightly different special designs of these for customers, AB Tool found the original Military Spec's for them. Then designed and made these solid carbide shallow helix tools match the mean of those dimensions and are now available in stock. These tools can reduce the number of operations on a Picatinny Rail by as many as 6 passes and the dimensions are fixed, so it doesn’t vary as it can if the separate tools wear at different rates. Shear Hogs

Shear Hogs where introduced in 1977 and remainthe best stock product rough milling aluminum at 6 CIM per HP at the spindle. They are also very good at slower feeds as finish face milling tools. Designed for non- ferrous part materials only, the insert edge is too sharp to machine ferrous part materials and will chip too quickly |
Keyseat Cutters

Keyseat Cutters come in Carbide Tipped in standard length and extra-long and in Solid Carbide in both small diameter and large diameter. All of the keyseat cutters are manufactured to your decimal width in 3-6 working days. |
ACCU-HOLD
|
The MOST precise extension holders in the industry. The shanks and the inside diameters of these are coaxial and within .0003" concentricity. Measured with a .0001" indicator using a nominal gage pin projected 1/2” from end of the holder. These holders also improve visibility of the tools being used as well as coolant access to the tools. Especially when using smaller tools.
