- Tapmatic
Tapmatic, the world leader in the design and development of tapping attachments and tap holders, has been helping customers increase production, improve thread quality and achieve the longest possible tap life since 1952. Whether your application is for CNC tapping on machining centers and CNC lathes, synchronized tapping, rigid tapping or you need to increase productivity by using a self reversing tapping attachment on a conventional drill press or milling machine, Tapmatic has the right tap holder or tapping head to help you achieve the best results. Tapmatic also offers a complete program of tools for in machine marking. The Tapmatic TapWriter for dot peen marking, and the ScribeWriter for scribing the work piece, both allow you to draw text, logos, part numbers, or data codes, while the part is still on the CNC machine. Tapmatic’s Marking Head is a stamping tool for stamping marks on your work piece with standard type or custom made stamps.
Scribewriter
The Scribewriter is a versatile scribing tool designed for CNC machines, offering efficient and precise marking capabilities. It excels in marking various materials with hardness up to 62 HRC and surface variations of up to 5mm. The tool enables fast marking without spindle rotation, and its programming is user-friendly, allowing for direct input at the machine control or through engraving software at the programmer's workstation.
The adjustable marking force and depth, controlled by a knurled sleeve and a reference scale, accommodate different materials without the need for spring changes. The Scribewriter features a high-quality magnification lens for easy force reference reading. Additionally, it offers settings from 0-7 for gradually increasing force up to setting H for marking the hardest materials.

The tool includes high-pressure internal coolant capability for improved stylus lubrication and increased marking force. With a carbide stylus that is simple to change and offers a long life, the Scribewriter provides versatility with options for 90° and 60° styluses. A new ballpoint stylus option creates smooth lines, albeit with shallower depth compared to scribing points.
Deburr Z: CNC Floating Deburring Tool
The DeBurr-Z tool is a floating holder designed for CNC machines, providing axial (Z-axis) flexibility for efficient deburring or chamfering of workpiece edges. This floating feature allows the bur cutting tool to adapt to undefined or varying edge positions, such as those found in castings or intersecting surfaces.
With 10mm of both compression and extension float, the tool compensates in both directions, enabling deburring of top and underside edges. The force exerted against the workpiece edge is adjustable, accommodating different materials and edge break preferences. The tool's compact design ensures compatibility with neighboring tools in the machine's magazine, and adjustments do not affect tool length. The DeBurr-Z operates at a maximum recommended speed of 10,000 RPM.

TapWriter Dot Peen Marking tool
The Tapmatic TapWriter Dot Peen Marking tool streamlines CNC marking, eliminating the need for extra operations. With a replaceable carbide stylus, it ensures a long tool life and versatility for marking both hard and soft materials, including round or uneven surfaces.
Installation is simple on Machining Centers or CNC lathes with Live Tooling, and it operates at impressive speeds, marking up to 80 characters per minute or more. The TapWriter allows for the creation of part numbers, date codes, logos, and decorative patterns during machining, without requiring a secondary marking operation.

Its dot peen marking is advantageous for aerospace applications due to the gentle curves of the dot cross-section, minimizing stress concentration. Users have complete control over the mark appearance, adjusting revolutions per minute and feed rate to achieve the desired dot spacing and style.
